In second place is the legendary iPod, which revolutionized the music industry in 2001 with its promise of “1,000 songs in your pocket.” This innovation replaced bulky tape and CD players, setting a new standard for portable music devices until its discontinuation in May 2022.
Contrary to expectations of AirPods or Apple Watch taking third place, The Verge readers voted for Apple’s M1 chip. This groundbreaking silicon chip revolutionized Apple’s personal computers, offering enhanced performance and efficiency.
