“Canadian Siblings Jack & Lilly Missing for 6 Months, Search Continues”

Six months have passed since siblings Jack, aged 4, and Lilly Sullivan, aged 6, mysteriously disappeared from their bedroom, and they remain missing. The children went missing from their rural residence in Lansdowne Station, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, on May 2, 2025. The children’s mother, Malehya Brooks-Murray, alerted authorities when she noticed they were no longer in the house, where they resided with her, their stepfather Daniel Martell, and their younger sibling Meadow.

Reports indicate that the mother heard the children playing in a nearby room around 10 am, but upon checking on them later, they were gone, apparently having exited through the patio door. Following their disappearance, an extensive search was launched for the Canadian siblings, accompanied by interviews. Local resident Brad Wong reported hearing a loud vehicle near the residence during the early hours of May 2.

According to RCMP Corporal Charlene Curl’s court documents, Wong observed vehicle lights over the treetops from his elevated residence. He mentioned that the vehicle departed multiple times after midnight, returning after a short distance, remaining within earshot throughout the night. Another neighbor, Justin Smith, reported hearing a vehicle near the railroad tracks by the family’s home at approximately 1:30 am, and later conversed with Wong, learning that Martell’s vehicle had been moving around that night.

Martell informed authorities that he retired to bed early and only awoke the following morning. He claimed that no one had left the household, and there were no visitors that day. Meanwhile, Malehya stated to investigators that Martell mentioned staying up to clean, although she found no evidence of cleaning upon waking up.

Despite extensive efforts, Jack and Lilly remain unaccounted for. Six months since their disappearance, a heartfelt social media post by Malehya expressed her longing for her missing children and the constant thoughts she has about them. Various speculations have circulated online regarding their disappearance, with suggestions that they wandered off together. Sergeant Rob McCamon emphasized that the case is being treated as a missing persons inquiry, with no indications of criminal involvement at present.

The search continues, with a planned operation on November 15 aimed at locating Jack and Lilly, especially with dropping temperatures. Volunteers, coordinated by the Canadian organization Please Bring Me Home, will partake in the search efforts. While the organization typically does not engage in missing persons cases, executive director Nick Oldrieve expressed their willingness to assist, viewing it as a crucial opportunity before winter weather sets in.
