“Blue Jays’ Guerrero Jr. Cleared to Return After Injury”

Toronto Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been cleared to return to the lineup after spending time on the seven-day injured list. He is set to play in the upcoming game against the New York Yankees.

Guerrero sustained an injury during a recent game against the Yankees in Toronto. The incident occurred when he collided with New York’s rookie shortstop, George Lombard Jr., in an unusual play at third base during the sixth inning.

Despite the collision that resulted in Guerrero’s helmet coming off, the talented player managed to score a crucial run before leaving the game. After undergoing final concussion tests, Guerrero rejoined the team on Friday and participated in a minor league rehab game for single-A Dunedin, where he displayed positive signs by hitting a double.

Following his successful recovery, Guerrero was slated to bat second in the lineup for the game against the Yankees after the Blue Jays suffered a 3-1 loss in the series opener. In a corresponding roster move, the team sent infielder/outfielder Davis Schneider to triple-A Buffalo.

Guerrero, who boasts a batting average of .263 with seven home runs and 46 RBIs, was in good form before the injury, hitting .310 in his previous seven games.
