People’s Postcode Lottery has once again increased the price of its tickets, much to the dismay of its players. The monthly subscription fee has gone up from £12.25 to £12.50, making it the third price hike in recent years after a raise from £12 to £12.25 last year and from £10 to £12 in 2023. Disgruntled participants have taken to TrustPilot to voice their discontent over the latest escalation.
Expressing frustration, one player commented, “Another price increase! When will it stop?”
Responding to the criticism, People’s Postcode Lottery stated, “Despite the upcoming 25p rise, we will offer our largest prize pool ever this year, providing more opportunities for players to win across all draws. Our goal is to keep the prize structure fresh and engaging for all participants.”
The increased ticket price is set to take effect from the April 2026 draw and has already been updated on the lottery’s website. The People’s Postcode Lottery operates based on players’ postcodes, with entries eligible for daily, weekly, and monthly draws. Prizes include daily £1,000 wins for 20 postcodes, a shared £1 million Saturday prize, and monthly prizes of £250,000 or more.
Launched in 2005, the People’s Postcode Lottery has raised over £1 billion for numerous charities through the participation of millions of players.
