Rock community mourns loss of Scott Sorry, former Wildhearts member

The music community is in mourning following the passing of Scott Sorry, the former member of The Wildhearts, who has lost his battle with brain cancer. The musician, known as Gerard Engelter, passed away on his 47th birthday. The sad news was shared on his Instagram account, stating that Scott had bravely fought against brain cancer since 2018.

Despite being diagnosed with Glioblastoma in 2018, Scott defied expectations and continued to live his life to the fullest. He even returned to the UK in 2022 for a tour, which meant the world to him. His perseverance and positive spirit touched many, and he expressed gratitude for being able to perform again and connect with his supporters during his battle.

Scott Sorry is survived by his wife Hanni and their three children, River, Ryder, and Rörik. Fans and friends have flooded social media with messages of condolences, expressing their sorrow over the loss of a talented musician and a beloved individual.

Scott’s cancer diagnosis was first revealed in 2017 by Ginger, the bandleader of The Wildhearts. A fundraiser was initiated to support Scott’s medical expenses, emphasizing his impact on the music community and his dedication to his family.

The rock ‘n’ roll world pays tribute to Scott Sorry, remembering him fondly for his music, friendship, and love for his family. His legacy will endure through the memories and music he shared with his fans and loved ones.
