The death cause of Bárbara Jankavski, a Brazilian influencer known as Human Barbie, has been officially determined. She tragically passed away at 31 on November 2, 2025, when she was found unconscious in the São Paulo residence of Renato Campos Pinto de Vitto, a 51-year-old public defender. Authorities have now confirmed that her death was accidental and resulted from cocaine use.
After verifying her death, a comprehensive investigation was initiated following Pinto de Vitto’s statement to the police that he had paid Jankavski for “sexual services” on the night of her demise. According to a police report, he mentioned that they both consumed illicit substances before going to sleep.
Although the public defender’s account aligns with the cause of death established by authorities, Jankavski’s family members have raised doubts about the investigation findings.
Pinto de Vitto reportedly called emergency services upon noticing Jankavski unresponsive during her sleep. He stated that he endeavored to assist her for nearly nine minutes before paramedics arrived. Medical professionals later confirmed her death upon reaching the scene.
Reports indicate that when the São Paulo State Military Police arrived at the flat, Jankavski was found wearing only underwear, with bruising on her back and an injury near her left eye.

The influencer had undergone 27 plastic surgeries in her pursuit to resemble a Barbie doll, with her latest procedure being a facelift in June 2025. She had been inactive on social media for over a month prior to her demise.
