“Prince Andrew’s Ex-Protection Officer Under Police Investigation”

Former royal protection officer of Prince Andrew is reportedly under investigation by the Metropolitan Police for allegedly gathering information on Virginia Giuffre. This development follows previous reports that the disgraced prince was involved in a scheme to tarnish the reputation of his accuser with the assistance of Met officials and the late Queen’s senior staff. Prince Andrew recently renounced his royal titles, including the Duke of York, in an apparent effort to distance himself from the escalating scandal linked to his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Despite persistent accusations, Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing regarding his interactions with Virginia, who passed away earlier this year. Reports indicate that two Metropolitan Police officers visited the residence of Andrew’s former protection officer in South East London as part of the ongoing inquiry. The officer in question, known for his extensive experience in royal security detail, had a notable career working closely with members of the Royal Family, including Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

The retired protection officer was reportedly part of the elite SO14 Royalty Protection Group, responsible for safeguarding about 20 royal family members with a team of around 200 officers. Allegations surfaced regarding an email where Prince Andrew purportedly instructed his Met bodyguard to investigate Virginia, providing personal details for research purposes. It is emphasized that there is no indication the officer complied with this request.

Further revelations from email correspondence suggest that Prince Andrew shared confidential information about Virginia with the late Queen’s press secretary, hinting at a coordinated effort to undermine the accuser’s credibility. Virginia’s family has refuted claims of her having a criminal record and expressed concerns over the unauthorized acquisition of her private information, urging an investigation into the matter.

The Metropolitan Police has declined to offer a detailed commentary, stating that they are actively examining the allegations. The Mirror has reached out to the Met Police for additional comments on the ongoing investigation.
