A mother of four tragically lost her life at a shopping center parking lot after being fatally shot by her former boyfriend, who was described as “obsessed” with her. The victim, Savannah Kulla, 29, was discovered dead outside the shopping center in Brampton, Ontario. The incident unfolded when her ex-partner, Anthony Deschepper, 38, allegedly abandoned her body there after kidnapping Savannah and their one-year-old daughter.
Authorities swiftly responded to the situation, leading to the safe recovery of the infant from relatives who reported receiving the child from Deschepper. Subsequently, law enforcement initiated a search for the ex-partner of the deceased.
Following a pursuit by local police and Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit, Deschepper was located at a gas station in Niagara Falls around 2:30 a.m. the next day. Unfortunately, the confrontation between Deschepper and law enforcement ended in the fatal shooting of the 38-year-old, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for the deceased.
Although a firearm was found at the scene, no evidence was found indicating that Deschepper had fired it. Another individual, whose relationship to Deschepper remains undisclosed, was apprehended at the location and taken into custody. This person was allegedly driving the vehicle in which Deschepper was traveling before the encounter.
Savannah’s grieving mother, Karen, shared that her daughter had recently ended her relationship with Deschepper due to his intense obsession with her. Karen expressed her devastation over the loss of her daughter and emphasized Savannah’s deep love for her children.
It was revealed that Savannah and Deschepper shared a one-year-old child, while Savannah’s three sons are currently under the care of their biological father. Karen expressed relief that Deschepper was no longer a threat to her grandchildren.
In the wake of the tragedy, a GoFundMe campaign was initiated by one of Savannah’s childhood friends to support her children. The fundraiser highlighted Savannah’s unwavering dedication to her kids and pledged to provide them with the care and love she would have bestowed upon them daily.
