In Sao Lourenco da Mata, Brazil, a tragic incident unfolded as the lifeless body of four-year-old Ester Izabelle was discovered in a well on October 21. The young girl had gone missing the day before while playing near her home in the Pixete neighborhood. Ester’s body, found partially unclothed and bearing signs of physical harm, was submerged in the well.
Reportedly, Ester was playing with her seven-year-old brother when a stranger abducted her. Her brother informed their mother after the disappearance, triggering a widespread search effort. Tragically, Ester’s uncle located her body in the well of a neighboring property.
Authorities revealed that the well, measuring about 3.7 meters deep and covered by a concrete slab, contained Ester’s body in an inverted position with visible injuries, particularly to the head. Police Chief Sergio Ricardo indicated the possibility of a sexual assault, noting the discovery of a condom and a chocolate milk wrapper near the scene.
Recalling the harrowing discovery, Ester’s uncle, identified as Nazario, described the distressing moment of finding his niece in such a tragic state. Two men residing in the house with the well were taken for questioning by the police. The property had been rented for approximately six months, as confirmed by family members and investigators. The investigation is ongoing to ascertain the circumstances surrounding Ester’s untimely demise.
