“Spooky Snack Ideas Unveiled with Interactive Halloween Tool”

Recent research has revealed that Halloween has become the second most cherished family holiday after Christmas. Many households are fully embracing the festive spirit by engaging in activities like dressing up, trick-or-treating, and hosting elaborate parties. On average, parents spend approximately £285 and dedicate nearly 23 hours preparing for Halloween celebrations.

The study, conducted by Herta, indicates that households typically spend around two hours and 53 minutes planning and purchasing food items for Halloween, with an additional three hours allocated to finding or creating costumes.

This year, 21% of families are organizing Halloween parties, complete with themed food and games like apple bobbing and serving hot dogs. Moreover, 27% of parents intend to prepare a special dinner on October 31st, while 46% plan to stock up on treats for in-house enjoyment.

Gemma Serdet, senior brand manager at Herta, commented on the findings, stating: “Halloween has solidified its place as a significant event for UK families, extending beyond traditional customs like trick-or-treating.

“In the past, there may have been some reluctance towards this holiday, but families are now fully embracing it and enjoying all the spookiness it brings.

“Parents are actively participating in the festivities, from costumes to decorations, and, importantly, food choices.”

The research also highlights that families typically spend £32 on costumes, £20 on pumpkins for carving, and an additional £30.41 on food for entertaining guests of all ages.

Despite the elaborate preparations, nine out of 10 families striving for an extravagant Halloween celebration aim to keep costs reasonable.

Among those preparing for Halloween, 54% plan to distribute treats to visitors, 48% will decorate the interior of their homes, and 42% will adorn the exterior.

Surprisingly, over 5% of respondents admitted to investing more effort into Halloween than Christmas. The data from OnePoll.com also indicates that Halloween is deemed more enjoyable for families compared to Easter, New Year’s Eve, and Bonfire Night.
