Sky has revealed adjustments to its TV channel lineup, set to take effect imminently. Among the changes, two platforms, Sky Showcase and Sky Max, will permanently halt their broadcasts on February 24. However, to compensate for this, Sky is reintroducing the popular channel, Sky One.
Scheduled to launch tomorrow, Sky One will provide subscribers with a variety of engaging comedy and entertainment programs. Viewers can anticipate new shows like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, along with fan-favorite series such as Rob & Romesh Vs.., The Paper, and Ted.
Moreover, Sky One will become the exclusive home of Saturday Night Live UK, premiering later this year. Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, expressed enthusiasm for the channel’s revival, highlighting its diverse content lineup aimed at catering to viewers’ preferences.
Additionally, Sky is introducing a new subscription plan named Ultimate TV, priced at £24 per month. This package includes access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app, along with over 130 premium channels like Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, and Sky Crime. Subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will also benefit from a dedicated Disney movie channel within the TV guide, enhancing their viewing experience.
The £24 plan encompasses various streaming services with ads, including Netflix Standard, Disney+ Standard (starting March), HBO Max Basic (starting March 26th), and Hayu (from July). In summary, Sky’s latest updates promise an enriched viewing experience for its customers, combining a wide range of content offerings to cater to diverse preferences.
The launch of Sky One on channel 106 is scheduled for tomorrow, February 24, coinciding with the introduction of the Ultimate TV plan, offering a comprehensive entertainment package for both new and existing subscribers.
