The sibling of Cheryl Grimmer, the British toddler who vanished under mysterious circumstances, recently shared a heart-wrenching account of the day he lost his younger sister.
In 1968, the Grimmer family, comprising parents Carole and Vince, along with Cheryl and her three brothers, relocated from Bristol to Australia in search of a fresh start. However, their new beginning was shattered less than two years later when three-year-old Cheryl disappeared.
On a fateful day in January 1970, Cheryl, her mother, and brothers were enjoying a beach outing while their father was away on military duty. As the sun blazed overhead, Carole decided it was time to head home around 1:30 pm.
While Carole packed up their belongings, the children went to the shower block. Cheryl’s older brother Ricki, then seven, alerted their mother that his sister was not coming out of the shower cubicle. By the time Carole reached the spot, Cheryl had vanished, sparking a frantic search effort.
