“Samsung Ends Support for Galaxy S21 Models”

Samsung has officially ended support for three older models in its Galaxy smartphone lineup, signaling the cessation of essential software updates for these devices. The Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus, and Galaxy S21 Ultra have been removed from the list of supported devices receiving regular security patches, as reported by TechRadar. Despite the usual continuation of security updates after main Android version updates cease, these models are no longer listed for future system updates, prompting users to consider upgrading for enhanced security.

Initially launched in 2021 with a promise of four years of Android updates and five years of security updates, the S21 series has reached the end of its update cycle in 2026. In contrast, newer models like the Galaxy S25 now boast seven years of Android and security updates, prolonging the device’s lifespan. Notably, the Galaxy S21 FE continues to receive quarterly security updates and is expected to do so for at least another year.

For those contemplating an upgrade, it might be prudent to wait as Samsung is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy S26 series later this month, potentially as early as February 25. Speculated upgrades include a faster processor, improved camera capabilities, enhanced design, and superior battery life. Stay tuned for the latest updates on Samsung’s new releases from Mirror Online.
