Las Vegas Grand Prix on track despite recent flooding

Despite recent flooding in Las Vegas, the upcoming Formula 1 weekend is expected to proceed without weather disruptions. Heavy rain on Tuesday caused street flooding, as seen in social media videos. However, the sun returned on Wednesday, reducing standing water around the city.

While showers returned on Wednesday afternoon, no major issues were reported at the circuit. More rain is forecast for Thursday and Friday, but conditions are expected to improve for the weekend races. Race organizers are optimistic about attendance despite reduced tourism and discounted ticket prices for the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Lando Norris leads the championship with a significant advantage over teammate Oscar Piastri. Max Verstappen is still in contention but faces a considerable points gap. The season will conclude with races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi after the Las Vegas event.

Formula 1 enthusiasts can catch all the live action with Sky’s Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, offering significant savings and access to various TV channels, Netflix, and Discovery+.
