Co-op is gearing up to unveil 11 fresh stores this week, with a comprehensive list of locations already confirmed. These new establishments will be scattered across various regions, from Bristol to the Scottish Highlands. Notably, Co-op is making its mark as the inaugural permanent retailer at the new Brent Cross Town development in London.
The upcoming store openings consist of a mix of brand-new outlets, franchise-operated stores, and revamped locations. This initiative forms part of the retailer’s commitment to invest in over 200 new and revamped stores by 2024/25. The recent announcements are in line with the 50 store openings Co-op had previously disclosed for November and December, just in time for the holiday season. The company is advocating for business-rates reform in the upcoming Budget session.
Kate McCrae, Co-op Operations Director, emphasized the company’s focus on establishing more than just retail stores but community hubs that cater to local needs and enhance community life. The ongoing investment in stores nationwide reflects Co-op’s confidence in the future of the high street, supporting local employment and British producers.
Co-op has also introduced 200 new personalized offers, increased discounts, member-exclusive games, and special deals within its membership scheme. Members stand to potentially save over £90 across October, November, and December, with monthly prize opportunities for every £5 spent in-store and online.
Rachel Halter, Director of Membership at Co-op, reiterated the commitment to offering enhanced value to member owners through expanded personalized offers, added discount benefits, and engaging in-app features. These efforts are aimed at delivering significant savings on preferred products and ranges, underscoring Co-op’s dedication to rewarding its members with every transaction.
The company’s initiatives align with its vision to provide exceptional value and benefits to its loyal members, ensuring a rewarding shopping experience at Co-op.
