Apple has introduced a new software update to enhance creativity among users. The tech giant from the US has unveiled Creative Studio, a platform offering premium software access to MacBook and iPad owners at a more affordable monthly rate.
The service provides full access to professional applications like Final Cut Pro for video editing, Logic Pro for music creation, and Pixelmator Pro as an alternative to Adobe’s Photoshop.
Upon its release later this month, Apple users can subscribe to the service for £12.99 per month or £129 per year, a cost-effective option considering the bundled software offerings. For instance, Final Cut Pro alone is priced at £300 on the App Store, and Logic Pro costs £200.
Apple’s subscription model aims to make these powerful tools more accessible to a wider audience. Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, described the Creative Studio as a valuable resource for creators of all kinds to enhance their skills with intuitive tools for video editing, music production, creative imaging, and visual productivity.
Additional features included in Creative Studio are MainStage, which transforms Mac into a versatile instrument, and Motion, a graphics tool for creating cinematic effects. Subscribers will also benefit from intelligent features and premium content integrated into Keynote, Pages, and Numbers apps for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with enhancements planned later in the year.
While Keynote, Pages, and Numbers will remain free, Creative Studio subscribers will receive improved versions of these software applications. Apple Creator Studio will launch on the App Store on Wednesday, January 28, with a one-month free trial available to all users. Additionally, individuals purchasing a MacBook or iPad will be eligible for a three-month trial period.
Apple has also announced discounted rates for university students, offering the software bundle at £2.99 per month or £29.99 per year.
