Clavicular, the social media figure known for “looksmaxxing” under the name Braden Peters, has been formally accused of rape, providing alcohol to a minor, and drugging someone for sexual activity, as revealed by online court documents accessed by CBC News. The charges against the 20-year-old were lodged on September 8 at a Cape Cod, Massachusetts courthouse, with the purported incidents dating back to May 23, 2025.
A court appearance is scheduled for October 14, and Peters is presently not in custody. The identity of the alleged victim has not been disclosed in the legal filings. If found guilty, Peters could face up to 20 years in prison for the rape charge.
In response to initial reports by the U.S. publication The Bulwark, Peters’s representatives, in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, dismissed the claims, asserting that Peters had not been formally served and accused The Bulwark of sensationalizing the case for web traffic. Peters later took to social media to identify fellow influencer Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza as the plaintiff, criticizing her actions as an attempt to gain his attention.
Mendoza’s legal counsel declined to comment on the ongoing criminal proceedings, following a prior civil complaint where Mendoza accused Peters of battery, fraud, and sexual misconduct related to events occurring in 2025. The civil complaint alleged that Peters administered Aqualyx injections to Mendoza’s face without consent when she was a minor and engaged in sexual activity with her while she was incapacitated and without her consent.
Renowned for his “looksmaxxing” content, which involves methods to enhance physical appearance, Peters has amassed a significant online following, particularly on TikTok, exceeding one million followers. His extreme and potentially hazardous content has drawn scrutiny in the past.
This is not the first instance of legal trouble for the influencer, as earlier this year, he faced charges for unlawfully discharging a firearm after a video surfaced of him shooting an alligator in the Florida Everglades. Moreover, Peters was hospitalized following a suspected overdose during a live stream earlier this year.
