The infant, wrapped in a blanket, was found at the base of a staircase leading to a train platform at Penn Station on a Monday morning. The New York Police Department (NYPD) confirmed that the baby was found “conscious and alert” and was in stable condition upon arrival at Bellevue Hospital. Current reports indicate that no arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing.

In a similar incident last month, a newborn baby girl was found abandoned in a cardboard box beside a road in Tuguegarao City, Philippines. The infant, taken to the hospital, was reported to be in stable condition and was under observation for up to five days to ensure her well-being.
