Samsung has unveiled a trio of new Galaxy S26 smartphones, with the standout feature being the Privacy Display on the S26 Ultra. This innovative feature ensures privacy by making content disappear when not viewed directly. It can be customized to block specific apps or notifications, providing enhanced privacy protection.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra boasts the industry’s first built-in Privacy Display, a display technology breakthrough that alters how phone privacy is safeguarded. By manipulating pixel light dispersion, the display maintains clear, bright content for the user while limiting visibility to others.
In addition to the Privacy Display, the S26 Ultra offers a sleek design, extended battery life, and is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy by Qualcomm. Rapid charging capabilities allow for a 75% charge in just 30 minutes.
The device also features an improved quad rear camera for better low-light photography and upgraded Super Steady video capture with a horizontal lock option for stable recording. The S Pen is included for note-taking on the 6.9-inch AMOLED screen.
Accompanying the Ultra are the standard S26 with a 6.3-inch screen and the larger 6.7-inch Plus version, both equipped with Samsung’s Exynos chip and triple-lens rear cameras.
All new Samsung smartphones benefit from enhanced smart features through a Galaxy AI upgrade. Features like Now Nudge offer relevant suggestions to users, such as automatically suggesting photos from the Gallery when prompted by a friend.
Samsung’s promise of a more user-friendly experience extends to features like automatic Calendar entry recognition and enhanced web search functionality through Google Gemini. While these updates are welcome, the increased quality comes at a higher cost this year.
