Prince William is reportedly planning to take a firmer stance against Prince Andrew, banning him from all royal engagements once he ascends to the throne. This decision follows crisis discussions between William and his father, King Charles, prior to Andrew renouncing his titles amidst allegations made by Virginia Giuffre. Despite denying the accusations, Andrew stated that stepping back from his royal duties was necessary to prevent further distraction from the monarchy’s work.
The upcoming release of Giuffre’s book is expected to reignite public interest in the scandal surrounding Andrew’s association with Jeffrey Epstein. William is said to view Andrew as a potential threat to the royal family’s reputation and intends to exclude him from all future royal functions, including the coronation.
Furthermore, Sarah Ferguson, stripped of her Duchess title, is also facing exclusion from royal events due to her association with Andrew and Epstein. Recent revelations regarding her past interactions with Epstein have raised concerns. In response to leaked emails, where she expressed regret for her previous connections to Epstein, Ferguson’s spokesperson clarified that her statements were made to mitigate threats from Epstein.
Kensington Palace has been approached for comment on these developments.
